Transport Exchange Group now offers compatibility with 10 telematics software providers, something it claims will provide visibility and control for both in-house and sub-contractor fleets.

Data from vehicle tracking tools can now be combined through its freight exchanges to create, according to Transport Exchange, the first system-neutral telematics integration platform for the logistics sector.

Hauliers will be able to take advantage of private, public or hybrid exchanges, with the ability to see the location and status of vehicles, regardless of who is operating them. It will also help companies promote unused capacity to other members, minimising empty running and boosting revenues.

Transport Exchange Group's head of business development, Simon Bunegar, said: "We now have the ability to integrate tracking data from virtually any system, so members of the Haulage Exchange can not only have visibility of their own vehicles, but also those of their trading partners."
