DHL has taken over transport and distribution from Wincanton for the former Morrisons convenience store estate. The 140 M Local stores were sold at a £30m loss to entrepreneur Mike Greene, who insisted the new stores, rebranded as My Local, will succeed where Morrisons’ failed. DHL’s retail logistics arm DHL Supply Chain posted a rise in both turnover and pre-tax profit last year, while sister companies DHL Tradeteam and DHL Express (UK) saw declines.
