Plans for a new international rail freight terminal at Mossend in Bellshill have been approved by Scottish ministers. Current efforts to resolve the driver shortage will not be enough to prevent the looming skills crisis, the Transport Committee has said.
The FTA has reiterated previous calls for action over migrant build-ups in northern France after a new rail freight service to the port of Calais was postponed due to safety concerns.
The entry deadline for the the 2015 FTA Everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards has been extended until the 9 Febraury.
