Neil Lloyd, chief executive of loss-making delivery firm Yodel, has stepped down. Turnaround specialist Lloyd was brought in two and a half years ago, with the self-stated goal of improving the firm’s customer service and improving its public image. Yodel has said it is on target to turn a profit for the first time since it started trading in 2010, following the departure of its chief executive Neil Lloyd.
Yodel delivered over 14 million parcels during the Christmas peak after investing heavily in planning and boosting capacity. The company added that between 1 December and 24 December only a small number of parcels weren’t delivered, in the main where it was unable to gain access to the address or the addressee was unavailable to sign for the delivery.
