Woodland Logistics – part of the Woodland Group – has signed an expanded contract with long-term customer, packaging manufacturer Cepac securing the business until 2020.
The Essex-based operator has handled contract logistics for the Rotherham-based manufacturer, part of the HSA Group, since 2005 – a contract it renewed for a further five years in 2012. However since renewing Cepac has expanded its operations, acquiring operations in Darlington, Rawcliffe, East Yorkshire and Doncaster, necessitating the new and expanded contract.
Woodland Logistics MD Sean Kirby, said: “These new sites were carefully integrated in order to maintain the same service levels as the existing Rotherham operation. Cepac are reaping the operational benefits that can be gained by centralising the overall management of all four sites' distribution requirements.”
Woodland handles some 10,000 pallets a week for Cepac.
