Jigsaw has added a trio of pieces to its puzzle in the form of three new partner hauliers. PC Howard, Nolan Transport and Montgomery Transport have joined the consortium’s 10 other members, which include CM Downton (Jigsaw’s parent company), Elddis Transport and the Widdowson Group. The shortlist for the second Microlise Driver of the Year Awards has been released ahead of the award ceremony later this month.
The government’s apprenticeship levy will come into force in April 2017. This means in just four months, companies with a payroll of £3m or more will be paying 0.5% of that cost into a pot, which UK businesses will be able to draw from for staff training.
The government is investigating whether further regulation of pre-pack administration sales is needed, after measures were introduced to try and improve transparency.
