Menzies Distribution has snapped up Inverness-based AJG Parcels in a £7.5m deal that allows it to enter the e-commerce parcel market. UK Mail has won a distribution contract with Shropshire-based bird food provider CJ WildBird Foods. The contract, which was effective from July, will see the parcel carrier collect from the wildlife feed retailer every day and deliver its products throughout the UK and Ireland. City Link’s profit and volumes suffered as it fell victim to lower than expected demand during the Olympic Games.
