Menzies Distribution has snapped up Inverness-based AJG Parcels in a £7.5m deal that allows it to enter the e-commerce parcel market. The logistics firm said the purchase would also help it appeal to companies seeking cost-efficient deliveries to the North and rural West of Scotland. Yodel has expressed its disappointment at the results of a consumer poll in which it was voted the worst of the major parcel delivery firms in the UK.
Yodel has hinted that this financial year it will move into profitability for the first time since the business’s formation in 2010, off the back of increased volumes and new business wins.
The FTA has bought specialist training provider T Team, which trades as TrainingTeam.
