Cyclists will be able to get an HGV driver’s view of the road at the FTA’s Managing Freight in London conference next month.The conference, on 2 June at the Oval, will cover a variety of issues, ranging from the development of cycle superhighways to Clocs, Fors, retrofitting of safety equipment and penalty charge notices. Police officers are appealing for witnesses after £5m of Apple products were stolen from a lorry during a robbery on the M1 motorway in Northamptonshire.
Transport for London (TFL) has teamed up with ten firms including Ceva Logistics, DPD, Gnewt by Menzies and UPS to launch London FreightLab.
The London Lorry Control Scheme (LLCS) route planner has been updated to include Olympic and Paralympics road restrictions. The approval service, run by consultancy Pie on behalf of scheme administrators London Councils, allows operators, for a fee, to have a compliant route generated online.
