Palletways has extended its service to cover Poland and the Baltic region. The pallet network will, from next month, run to Estonia, Lativia, Lithunaia and Poland. The areas will be serviced from its hub in Germany. Palletways has worked quickly to fill a gap in its coverage left by Cambridgeshire operator Heathcliff Haulage, which went into administration in January.
The Association of Pallet Networks (APN) said new figures for the first six months of 2020 show the UK pallet network sector was “far less affected in terms of volume than the early experience of European counterparts indicated”.
Pall-Ex has said it is “saddened” by the UK’s decision to leave the European Union and reiterated its warning that the forthcoming Brexit will “deeply” affect the supply chain.
