Gist and long-term customer Marks & Spencer have signed a 12 year extension to their warehousing and distribution partnership, with the first year of the contract estimated to be worth circa £300m.

The deal will see Gist continue to provide daily food deliveries from M&S RDCs to stores across the UK, as well as Ireland, France and the Netherlands.

It also sees an extension to Gist’s work in M&S’s primary logistics network –with it collecting M&S food products from suppliers and delivering to RDCs. It will also supply delivery services to M&S’s network of owned and franchised stores in Western Europe.

Gist CEO Martin Gwynn said he was delighted to extend the partnership with M&S into 2027.

Steve Rowe, M&S executive director for food, said: “Our supply network has helped us deliver market leading growth… With more stores, new products and expansion in Europe, we’re growing and Gist will play a major role in helping us deliver our ambitious plans over the next 12 years.”
