The Clocs scheme has now signed up 100 champions since its launch two years ago, with more operators urged to come onboard. Clocs champions are organisations and individual construction projects that have committed to implementing the scheme’s standard within their own businesses and across their supply chains. The threat of a tanker driver strike could now be averted, as the Unite union and fuel distribution companies reach agreement over a new set of proposals. Unite has also been given an extended industrial action mandate of 21 May to allow it time to discuss the new proposals with its 1,200 tanker driver members. DHL Supply Chain has won a three-year deal to manage BMW’s vehicle preparation and refurbishment services.
DHL Express has transported more than 1,100 pieces of equipment and instruments for 15 US high schools and university marching bands to participate in the London New Year’s Day Parade. DHL collected tubas, snare drums, trumpets, saxophones, trombones and other musical instruments from each participating school, and loaded them onto special aircraft containers to be transported to the DHL Gateway at JFK Airport in New York.
