Wincanton chief executive Eric Born is to step down in July. Wincanton has won a three-year extension to its transport management contract with WHSmith.
Wincanton has extended its relationship with B&Q, in a deal that sees it handling inbound container logistics as well as planning deliveries across the DIY chain’s national network. The operator, which has managed B&Q’s horticulture distribution for several years, became its sole UK ports-to-distribution centre provider earlier this year. Wincanton has sold off its UK commercial vehicle repair and maintenance company, Pullman Fleet Services (PFS) to asset management firm Aurelius as it focuses on its more profitable core markets.
