Wincanton chief executive Eric Born is to step down in July. He is to be replaced by the company’s group finance director Adrian Colman on 1 August, when Born will leave the business to become chief executive of a global, as yet, unnamed company. The GMB union has held a protest outside a Marks and Spencer retail store over the rates of pay awarded to agency staff at the retailer’s Swindon DC, which was operated until January by Wincanton and is now run by DHL Supply Chain.
