Carlsberg UK has rolled out its new ‘hop leaf’ livery on 98 Daf trucks that have just entered operation. The £11.7m order consists of 15-tonne and 18-tonne LFs, 26-tonne CF rigids and CF tractor units. They are the first Dafs on the brewer’s in-house fleet in a decade and will make multi-drop deliveries of beer and associated items such as gas cylinders. FCC Environment is strengthening its fleet after landing a major five year recycling deal with three councils.
Ryder Europe has purchased CV contract hire and fleet management specialist Euroway for an undisclosed sum. Euroway has a total fleet of 1,419 CVs, ranging from 3.5 tonners to tractor units, plus trailers. Daf is the dominant supplier to Euroway. In 2010, its combined divisions generated a combined turnover of about £22m and a pre-tax loss of circa £730,000.
