Government and local authorities have been urged not to “demonise diesel” but to develop a national framework instead to encourage the take up of modern, clean diesel trucks. London’s low-emission zone will go live on 8 April 2019, London mayor Sadiq Khan has confirmed.
A new customer survey has revealed that 75% of transport planning professionals have seen increasing pressure to reduce their environmental impact in the last 12 months, yet two thirds (66%) believe that much more needs to be done to keep pace with public pressure for action.
The Olympic Route Network (ORN) will cease operation at midnight on Tuesday (14 August), meaning London’s roads will return to normal before the Paralympic Route Network’s activation at the end of this month.
