Supermarket chain Tesco has appointed former Exel Logistics chief John Allan as its new chairman. Allan will replace Richard Broadbent following his decision to step down from the post on 1 March. Allan was CEO of Ocean Group in the 1990s and then of Exel when Ocean merged with NFC in 2000.
