There appears to have been a great deal of change amongst the team at Bibby Supply Chain Services last month with the departure of not one, but two of its directors.

Following the announcement that Iain Speak has stepped down from his position as chief executive to form his own consultancy, chief operating officer Paul Kavanagh has now appeared at R Swain & Sons as its new MD.

Successors to both Speak and Kavanagh have not yet been named by Bibby Supply Chain Services (which ditched its former Bibby Distribution branding last year). However, a bit of hunting at Companies House and look at its line-up of directors shows that a new man may taken over in the meantime.

Oliever Hecht, who according to his Linkedin profile is currently at Munich-based interim management supplier Demps & Partner, was appointed to the Bibby Supply Chain Services board on 19 December, shortly before the departure of Speak.

Hecht’s former positions include roles at secure transport company Brink’s, cash and carry Metro Group Logistics and German food delivery firm Cool Chain Group.

Although replacements for Speak and Kavanagh have not yet been revealed, it doesn't take a great leap of imagination to see why Bibby has engaged the services of an interim management supplier.
