Yearsley Logistics has secured permission for an extension to its Newark site that will boost storage by 30,000 pallets. Scania (GB) has won an order for at least 2,250 trucks from Consortium Purchasing, an operation led by William Stobart, executive chairman of Greenwhitestar Acquisitions (which owns Eddie Stobart, The Pallet Network and iForce), and Allan Jenkinson (owner of A W Jenkinson Forest Products).
Frozen food specialist Yearsley Logistics is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. The firm, which is now based in Heywood, Lancashire, started in 1955 on a farm in Rochdale. It is still owned by the Yearsley family and led by MD Harry Yearsley.
