APC Overnight is to hold a recruitment open day for former City Link staff tomorrow (6 January). The parcel network plans to make up to 100 jobs available to former City Link employees. City Link’s administrator has revised up the amount it believes non-preferential creditors are owed by the collapsed parcel carrier. However, it said it is still waiting to hear from creditors that are owed a total of £12.8m that have not submitted a claim.
City Link narrowed its losses by 54% in 2012, but a reduction in volumes from higher margin B2B customers meant that its performance was behind the expectations of parent company Rentokil Initial.
