BPW-Training

Tanker operators can cut the cost of expanding their fleet by up to 50% by using TIP Tankers to remount their own tanker fleet. Tanker remounting involves reusing stainless steel barrels and fitting these onto new chassis equipped with the latest running gear.

Trailer rental specialist TIP was acquired last by China-based conglomerate HNA Group, and has since experienced a year of investment and growth. Its site at Knottingley near Leeds has seen some of the biggest changes, including this year’s opening of a state-of-the-art fabrication workshop.

TIP Tankers now frequently fit new BPW axle sets during the tanker remounting programme that they are carrying out on their own tankers as well as other tanker fleets across the UK. During this upgrade programme TIP can also fit the latest BPW landing legs and forged aluminium ECO Wheels.

BPW technical engineers recently visited Knottingley to deliver on-site training to the branch’s employees. BPW and TIP have a long history of trading, and TIP Tankers workshop technicians maintain BPW equipment on a daily basis.
