Wincanton has won a contract extension with Waitrose for storage and distribution of wines and spirits to 357 UK outlets, which include supermarkets, motorway service stations, Ocado and Waitrose Cellar sites. The extension takes the partnership between Waitrose and Wincanton to more than 20 years. Wincanton has told investors that its full year turnover will be lower than 2018’s, after the late start of a number of new contracts failed to offset its exit from several low margin deals.
Wincanton has won an eFulfiment contract with Homebase to provide what it describes as “a fully managed customer delivery service”.
