Suttons Group has appointed Michael Cundy as the new MD of its Road Tanker division.
Cundy, who replaces Tony Leighton, has worked for Suttons since 2005 and has been a board member for the past five years. He was human resources director.
CEO John Suttons said he was “particularly pleased” with the appointment, adding: “Michael will bring an extra dimension to our UK Tankers business and his knowledge and skills will be essential as we look to considerably grow the road tanker logistics business, both in the UK and Europe.”
Cundy said he would “focus on service, innovation, flexibility and safety”.
The Widnes-based group recently acquired Imperial Tankers, a subsidiary of Hargreaves, giving Suttons a combined fleet of over 700 trucks and a £98.7m turnover from its UK operations.
