Public service provider Amey has put six 7 tonne Iveco Daily trucks into operation on its traffic management contract with the Highways Agency. Iveco claims the trucks, which have its Daily 70C17 chassis, offer 250kg more payload capacity than traditional 7.5-tonners, giving Amey the ability to carry all the equipment needed for a 2km lane closure on the back of one vehicle. Norbert Dentressangle has signed a four-year contract with the Highways Agency to store and distribute emergency salt for Britain’s roads. The firm is one of five companies responsible for procuring, storing and distributing road salt to the Highways Agency’s service providers across the country.
