Maritime Group has acquired Aegeus Transport – the holding company for Roadways Container Logistics (RCL) – for an undisclosed sum. The purchase, in completed on Friday 8 August, sees Felixstowe-based Maritime take on the entire RCL business. Phil Couchman, CEO of DHL Express UK and Ireland, has been shortlisted in the Leader of the Year category of the National Business Awards. The 2013 Leader of the Year will be decided by a combination of online votes from the business community, which must be cast by the deadline of 30 October, and a jury of peers who will vote in a secret ballot.
