CitySprint has snapped-up two more courier firms as it continues its strategy of growing through acquisition. It has acquired Hertfordshire-based group Letchworth Couriers, which the firm claims is its biggest deal since acquiring Lewis Day in 2011. It did not comment on the value of the deal. Following its acquisition of Browns Chilled Distribution in September, Newmarket, Suffolk-based Turners (Soham) has started taking delivery of 50 new Mercedes-Benz Actros tractive units as part of a replacement programme for the Browns fleet.
