CitySprint has snapped-up two more courier firms as it continues its strategy of growing through acquisition. It has acquired Hertfordshire-based group Letchworth Couriers, which the firm claims is its biggest deal since acquiring Lewis Day in 2011. It did not comment on the value of the deal. CitySprint has purchased Birmingham-based Network Logistics UK, continuing its recent acquisition spree.
Widnes-based Sutton Group has acquired Imperial Tankers, the bulk chemical transport arm of Hargreaves, creating a single bulk tanker fleet of some 700 units with a combined turnover of approximately £114m from UK operations alone.
FTA subsidiary TDUK has bought Tachodisc out of administration.
