Acumen Automotive Logistics has moved to a new operating centre in Coventry to accommodate its expanding UK finished-vehicle logistics business.

The new 24-hour facility in Rowley Road, Baginton is located midway between the M1 and M40 and the increased capacity will accommodate finished vehicle fleets purchased for new contracts won with Jaguar Land Rover as well as the recently acquired Enclosed Transporter fleet from Enable.

Acumen said the leased site represents a “considerable investment by the company” and features high levels of security, additional hard-standing for vehicles as well as technical services and paint facilities.

Peter Raybould, director of Acumen Automotive Logistics, said he is excited by the move to the bigger facility and the opportunity this presents.

He added: "The move offers a tremendous opportunity enabling us to further grow and expand our customer base. Business is improvingand we have a number of new opportunities in the pipeline. Just as exciting is the improved capability the new site gives us to ensure we continue delivering the high levels of service our customers demand.”

Acumen Automotive Logistics commenced finished vehicle deliveries in 2009 and is owned by parent company Acumen Logistics Group.
