Pall-Ex has restructured a number of its member postcodes in a move that sees two new members join the network from rival Palletways.

Rugby-based Exact Logistics moves to Pall-Ex from Palletways, and will take control of coverage for part of the CV postcode, a new area created specifically for the haulier. Also joining from Palletways is Heathfield, West Sussex-based Independent Logistics Solutions, which will take control of the TN postcode.

Palletways was unavailable for comment.

Furthermore Ashby de la Zouch-based Trucklink.eu joined Pall-Ex in April and is covering the NN postcode. They joined new members Aylesbury Logistics, covering part of the HP and WD postcodes and Newport-based SW Freight, covering the NP postcode.

In January Maltby, South Yorkshire-based Green Group left UK Pallets for Pall-Ex to cover part of the S and part of the DN postcode areas, the same month as Leicester-based Premier Logistics extended its coverage into the RG postcode, following its purchase of the business and assets of Cobley Transport (Reading) last year.

Steve Reed, Pall-Ex’s UK network director, said: “We have strategically restructured coverage of our postcode areas to ensure that we continue to supply the best service possible. I am happy to welcome on board the new members and look forward to building a long-lasting and prosperous relationship with them all.”

Cris Stephenson became UK managing director at Pall-Ex in June, with former Tibbett & Britten finance and commercial director, and co-founder of private equity firm Keswick Enterprises, Geoff Gillo joining the board at Pall-Ex as a non-executive director earlier this month.

Reed added: “As Pall-Ex is continuing its expansion across Europe, with networks up and running in Poland, Italy, the Iberian Peninsula, Romania and most recently France, hauliers in the UK are aware of the benefits of the Pall-Ex model. The more quality members that join the network, the stronger we all become, helping everyone to grow their businesses.”
