TNT Express has won a two-year contract with aircraft engine manufacturer MTU Aero Engines which includes the delivery of parts to an engine manufacturer in the UK.

TNT will transport engine parts by road between airspaces across Europe, including the UK and Ireland. It will also handle parts returns to MTU’s maintenance sites in Germany.

A spokesman for TNT Express said it will deliver parts to “a renowned engine manufacturer in the UK”. He declined to comment on the value of the contract.

Parts will be delivered using TNT's premium express and deferred services, and deliveries will be covered by an on-time warranty.

Ian Clough, MD International Europe at TNT Express, said: “TNT’s ability to transport palletised freight in a fast yet cost-effective manner is very useful to industrial customers. We are very pleased to have been chosen by an industrial leader like MTU Aero Engines for part of their pan-European deliveries.”
