Ceva Logistics has won a five-year contract with PVC-U window and door frame manufacturer REHAU. The deal covers transport using a dedicated fleet of REHAU-liveried trucks across the UK and management of its 130,000ft² distribution centre in Runcorn, Cheshire. Ceva makes on average 700 picks per day at the warehouse, which stores over 2,700 varieties of 830 products. Palletways has struck a major logistics support deal with Rochford Garden Machinery. The pallet network will deliver goods on behalf of the garden machinery distributor to garden centres and retailers across the country.
BT Fleet has signed a four-year deal to manage a fleet of 1,200 vehicles for gas distributor Wales & West Utilities. The contract involves management of Wales & West Utilities’ light and heavy commercial vehicles as well as plant, and also involves management of its vehicle suppliers.
Fakenham, Norfolk haulier Jack Richards & Son has reported a 56% rise in pre-tax profit, and £2.3m rise in turnover, for the year ending 31 May 2012.
