Redhead International has moved from its Burton-on-Trent depot to a larger facility in nearby Tamworth. The new facility provides almost 5,000 sq ft of additional warehousing space compared with Burton, which has been its home for six years. Last July Redhead International opened a depot in Northern Ireland’s Mallusk and currently operates from seven depots within the UK and Ireland with an accounts office in Bradford.
Supermarket group Morrisons has renewed its contract with Norbert Dentressangle for the operation of two of its distribution centres in Scotland. The new contract, which extends ND’s involvement for a further two years, covers the 575,000ft² composite DC at Bellshill and the Eurocentral 85,000ft² fresh produce DC, also near Glasgow. Pall-Ex member FTS Hatswell wants to expand its storage capacity further since moving into bigger premises in June last year. It moved into the new 67,500ft² warehouse in on the Deeside industrial estate in Flintshire last summer, extending its operation that was previously based there and increasing its storage capacity to 185,000ft² over three sites.
