Union Unite is set to ballot five other Sainsbury’s DCs for industrial action next week, following a strike that took place on Friday 20 June. BHS’s logistics supplier DHL has said it is “seeking further clarity” on the impact the closure of the retail chain could have, after administrators failed to find a buyer for the iconic high street brand.
Eddie Stobart is facing a third strike by its drivers based at Tesco’s Doncaster DC. Although the operator and Unite had been in talks via Acas in a bid to resolve the long-running jobs dispute, efforts to find a way forward have failed.
