Temperature-controlled operator ACS&T has said that making its operation and facilities some of the “best in the business” led to improvement in profit last year. Temperature-controlled specialist ACS&T has won a one-year contract with meat and poultry processor Pinnacle Foods.
ACS&T has secured a three-year contract extension with foodservice brand Kara to manage outbound storage and distribution.
ACS&T said squeezed rates and higher subcontracting costs in its transport operations were the main reasons for a fall in operating profit during 2014, despite a boost in turnover.
