Burnt-Tree-Refrigerental-Mo

Morrisons has been using a variety of vehicles supplied by Burnt Tree's temperature-controlled rental business Refrigerental to support the opening of its M Local convenience stores.

The supermarket is renting a mixture of car-derived vans, 3.5-tonne panel vans, and  7.5- and 18-tonne multi-temperature rigids.

The vehicles are being used to transport products from DCs and large stores to smaller stores across the UK. The supermarket hopes to have around 200 M Local stores in operation by January 2015.

A spokesman for Burnt Tree said the number of vehicles supplied depends on regional requirements.

It has, however, seen the number of vehicles it is supplying to the supermarket grow.

John Ward, head of engineering at Morrisons, said: “As we open more and more stores each week, Burnt Tree has reacted really well in keeping us supplied with the right specification of vehicles and this relationship between the two companies will continue to grow, in line with our expansion plans.”
