Homeware supplier Loaf has awarded a new multichannel contract for nationwide storage and distribution services to Wincanton. The contract, which Wincanton will run from its multi-user warehouse in Greenford, West London, involves the 3PL’s two-man “white glove” operation making deliveries of items including beds and sofas to Loaf customers across the UK. Wincanton will also oversee distribution of individual packages using its order management and parcel carrier solution.
Wincanton has told investors that its full year turnover will be lower than 2018’s, after the late start of a number of new contracts failed to offset its exit from several low margin deals.
Argos employees from across the UK are to protest outside its new owner Sainsbury’s’ HQ next week, after the company failed to guarantee their futures within the business.
