DHL Supply Chain is to put 14.6m longer semi-trailers into service on 50 Lidl delivery routes across the UK. Deutsche Post DHL has been hit with a tax bill for more than half a billion euros, after a ruling by German financial authorities. DHL will need to make an additional €516m VAT payment after a review of how it handled tax relating to postal services. DHL Express is to increase its prices to UK clients by an average of 4.9% next year as it looks to offset rising costs.
