Knights of Old Group has signed a new three-year contract with long-term customer, Virani Foods, that will now see it provide a full logistics service for the ethnic ingredient manufacturer.

The contract is worth £1.5m over the three years with the additional work commencing this month.

Having worked with Wellingborough-based Virani for more than 20 years, Knights said it was proud to be increasing its services from distribution only to warehousing and logistics.

It will now be transporting over 15,000 pallets a year throughout the UK and storing over 1,200 in a new racking system, which was purpose built for Virani, at its Northampton depot.

Knights revealed recently that it was hungry to make more acquisitions following on from its purchase and integration of Mainland.
