Parcel carrier Worldwide Logistics and Distribution (WWLD) has acquired two-man delivery firm HTH Logistics, which trades as Home Direct Logistics.

The acquisition of the furniture transport company will increase the Milton Keynes-based firm’s owned and leased fleet to 25 vehicles.

A spokesman said WWLD will continue to use subcontractors, which takes the total number of vehicles it uses to 200, including HGVs.

Gary Harris, Home Direct Logistics MD, said: “With the much larger fleet and support team Home Direct, under the WWLD umbrella, is very well placed to enhance the offering and bring on more clients that we know want to use our services.”

WWLD MD Chris Knight said: “When we sat down and looked at the businesses side by side we noticed that both businesses provide typically entrepreneurial, high growth clients with flexible fast reaction solutions that meet the unpredictable needs of the sector."

WWLD has been operating since 2010 and specialises in parcel delivery across the UK and Europe.
