Operators have been warned against using unofficial websites for one-off London congestion charge payments as some charge a high premium for their service and others have been known not to actually carry out payments. London mayor Boris Johnson has launched his Safer Lorry Scheme (previously the Safer Lorry Charge), pledging to ban trucks without cycle safety equipment from the capital.
UPS has completed its final delivery to the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) and Main Press Centre (MPC) at the Olympic Park. As a result the equipment for 21,000 media representatives is now all delivered, set up and in place for the start of the Games.
