At the top of the biggest truck rental and leasing provider in the UK, David Hunt, vice president and MD for Ryder Europe, has great influence over the sector.
Hunt, who has been with Ryder for over 20 years, knows the rental and leasing business inside-out, and not just its role in UK logistics. He took up his current role in 2009, but has previously worked in positions in the US and Latin America.
In the last couple of years he has helped Ryder increase its assets by overseeing two company acquisitions; Hill Hire and Euroway, but with more operators choosing to rent and lease their vehicles rather than owning their own assets, all eyes are on Hunt to see what Ryder will do to cope with increasing demand.
