The Unite union has called on the government to ringfence money raised from foreign truck operators by the HGV Road User Levy for investment in the UK’s transport infrastructure. Former Tesco drivers at Eddie Stobart’s Doncaster DC have suspended further strike action so that union officials and the logistics firm’s management can resume talks this Friday (19 October).
