A website for operators keen to swap or acquire rights to operate longer semi-trailers has been launched by the RHA. Bibby Distribution has won a contract with Morrisons to operate five regional consolidation centres (RCC) across the UK. Bibby will operate the five RCC operations from its existing facilities in Yorkshire, the East Midlands, the South East, Staffordshire and the South West. Bibby Distribution will use its full allocation of 25 longer semi-trailers (LSTs) when it takes delivery of twelve more 15.65m models. They will join 13 identical Don-Bur trailers which Bibby added to its fleet in 2012 as part of the on-going trial of longer trailers.
