Kuehne + Nagel says it is on track to reach its goals for profitable growth, despite a slip in turnover and EBITDA in its road and rail business. A “buoyant” UK logistics market helped Norbert Dentressangle (ND) boost overall third quarter 2012 revenue by 10% to €2.9bn. Turnover growth was reported across all three of ND’s business divisions, with much of this down to the acquisition of new business. Logistics revenue for Q3 2012 increased 6.4% compared to Q3 2011, with like-for-like income up 2%. Year-to-date, logistics division revenue is 13.7% ahead at €1.3bn (2011: €1.15bn). Woodland Logistics has renewed its contract with packaging manufacturer Cepac for a further five years. The two parties have worked together for seven years and the renewal will see Woodland Logistics manage distribution out of Cepac’s Rotherham, South Yorkshire-based warehouse.
