Wood flooring importer Lionvest Trading (UK) has extended its warehousing and distribution contract with Southampton-based Meachers Global Logistics.
Meachers and Lionvest have worked together for the past eight years, and the three-year contract extension is the third such deal during this time.
As part of the on-going relationship, Meachers will continue to receive, store and distribute all of Lionvest’s UK stock, which includes more than 1,000 oversized pallets a year.
Mark Warrington, shipping manager at Lionvest, said: “Meachers provides us with a unique warehousing facility in Southampton that means we can hold the majority of our UK stock, which consists of a wide range of flooring products available for 48-hour delivery, direct to our customers across the UK.”
Meachers recently expanded its Southampton warehouse facilities and now has more than 200,000ft² on offer to customers.
In February Meachers announced a cross-Channel tie up with French freight forwarder Morvan Fils Transit.
