DHL Supply Chain has won a ten-year contract with Gatwick Airport to manage inbound deliveries through its new logistics and consolidation facility. The contract, worth more than £24m, involves managing inbound goods from multiple suppliers and delivering them to the airport’s 150 partners and retailers. Deutsche Post DHL has been hit with a tax bill for more than half a billion euros, after a ruling by German financial authorities. DHL will need to make an additional €516m VAT payment after a review of how it handled tax relating to postal services.
