Sainsbury’s has revealed it is piloting a naturally refrigerated trailer to transport chilled and frozen goods. Norbert Dentressangle and the UK arm of customer Mitsubishi Electric Europe have jointly purchased a Daf LF Hybrid. The 12-tonne diesel/electric hybrid has joined the operator’s dedicated distribution fleet, which moves large industrial air conditioning units, Ecodan heating systems, spare parts and instruction manuals, for Mitsubishi Electric Europe.
