Wincanton has signed a new five year contract with cycling and car accessories retailer Halfords, extending the partnership between the two companies to 8 years.
Wincanton has won a £60m, three-year milk distribution renewal with Dairy Crest, which will extend the firms’ partnership to 21 years of working together. The deal will see the logistics giant collecting milk from more than 600 farms across southern England and Wales and transporting it, via a 100-strong fleet, to four Dairy Crest dairies. The tale of Stobart’s ever falling share price. Two weeks ago, in the wake of Avril Palmer-Baunack’s unceremonious demotion, this column wrote about the woes of backing the Stobart horse. Even the gloss of a three-year deal with Tesco couldn’t reverse it’s fortunes (and given Tesco’s current performance there can’t be that much gloss).
