Matthew Clark Dafs

Matthew Clark has taken 13 Dafs via Ryder

Drinks wholesaler Matthew Clark has taken delivery of 13 custom-built Dafs from its vehicle supplier Ryder, in a bid to increase the load capacity of its 190-strong fleet and further improve operational efficiency.

Matthew Clark has estimated, with assistance from Ryder, that it can increase its fleet carrying capacity by 16% by replacing its existing 12 and 18-tonne vehicles with 21 and 26-tonne variants.

“We handle more than 15,000 customer deliveries during a typical week so managing operational costs is an important factor of our business,” said Daniel Haddon, Matthew Clark’s purchasing controller.

The newly arrived ultra-low height Dafs (at 18, 21 and 26-tonnes) are fitted with Bevan curtainside bodies and will join the wholesaler’s national fleet, which operates from 14 depots.
