Hargreaves Logistics had a “solid” year in 2012-13, performing in line with expectations, parent company Hargreaves Services said today. Both its dry bulk fleet and tanker fleet performed well, its pre-close trading statement for the year ended 31 May 2013 revealed. Operators and logistics firms were poorly represented in the 2012 Sunday Times Rich List, published yesterday. The Barclay brothers, Sir David and Sir Frederick, owners of parcel giant Yodel, remain the richest men involved in road transport with a fortune of £2.2bn. Alastair Salvesen and family are second.
