Felixstowe-based Maritime Transport has won the Haulier of the Year award at Tesco’s recent Primary Distribution supplier conference.
The haulier was recognised as the supermarket giant’s primary grocery and general merchandise haulier of the year after being nominated by primary distribution managers.
The award was presented by John Clark, Tesco primary operations manager, for ‘exceptional commitment’, ‘enthusiasm shown’ and ‘high levels of service performance’ in delivering internationally-sourced general merchandise products from port to Tesco’s national DCs and domestic loads to RDCs.
“We are delighted to have been recognised in this way and to have been awarded Haulier of the Year by Tesco Primary Distribution,” said John Williams, MD of Maritime.
“This is a great accolade made possible because of the hard work and effort of a highly motivated team and our commitment to deliver practical, highly flexible and cost-effective transport solutions to the retail sector,” he added.
