Palletforce member Evans Transport has spent £2.5m on more fuel efficient vehicles in the past year, as part of an on-going fleet replacement programme. The family-run firm, which has its head office in Barnstaple, has replaced 35 LGVs over the past 12 months. Scania (Great Britain) has ended its hunt to replace MD Martin Hay, who announced his early retirement in February this year.
Scania is offering free activation and a ten-year subscription to its OnBoard Monitor telematics package for all operators of its trucks manufactured in 2011 onwards.
