FairFuel UK (FFUK) and its supporters will hold a rall outside the London HQ of the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) on Monday (15 July) as the campaign group renews calls for a fair and transparent investigation into oil pricing.
Founder Peter Carroll, who won a service to the industry award at last week’s Motor Transport Awards for his lobbying efforts, will join the FFUK team along with PetrolPromise.com founder and MP Robert Halfon.
The OFT dashed hopes of an investigation into competition in the oil market in January, but the FFUK hopes to reignite interest in an inquiry by handing over a 32,000-plus signature petition, at 9am on Monday (15 July) morning.
The petition was set up in May, following raids on several major oil companies by the European Commission.
